Thoraipakkam (often referenced as Okkiyam Thoraipakkam) was one of the first stretches of OMR to develop around large IT campuses, giving it a more mature social ecosystem — schools, hospitals and retail — than newer parts of the corridor further south. It sits just before the Sholinganallur junction, with strong connectivity both along OMR and inward toward Velachery via the inner ring road.
